After 4 months with VIPKid, I thought I would pop on here and do a little update about my experience so far. Good news…so far I still LOVE IT!
It's beyond rewarding.
The amount of classes I have taught has varied a TON. For the first month, I was teaching every single day twice a day. After I began working with the Astros, I cut back to just regular students here-and-there. And that's okay! In fact it’s one of the beauties of the gig. You can do it as much or as little as ya want.
The #1 question I get from new-hires is....did you ACTUALLY get paid? LOL. YES! I can promise it's not too-good-to-be-true. The dollars made it into my bank account! hahaha!
I figured in the spirit of full transparency I would include a few screenshots of how much I've been making each month.
So far I've made $2,591.00 with VIPKid. That breaks down to around $647/month which kinda blows my mind. That was nearly my rent payment in Orlando?!?!
I love hearing stories of friends or Instagram followers who started teaching on the side and how much they love it. One of my dad’s employees actually started teaching in her free time to use the extra $500/month to pay off debt. Another is saving for a wedding dress. They love the flexibility and the fact you can do it all from home. SO DO I!
